Over the last decade the Paperbird team has filmed hundreds of weddings in premier destinations across North America, including Mexico and Hawaii. We are silent observers, present and in the moment while giving our couples a sense of ease and comfort in front of the camera.We are aware of the important role we play in witnessing and preserving the memories of our clients and their families.

We are a collective of working filmmakers that lean heavily into our artistic vision.  We do our best to remain unobtrusive and not let your wedding day feel like a production. We keep our gear light and our eyes sharp to capture the important moments and the moments that might go unseen. Every wedding is approached as an opportunity to create an individualized and unique film by collaborating with our couples. We’ve loved using super 8 film and have been implementing 16mm and Hi8 camcorder footage for that extra nostalgic touch.

Tyler, the founder of Paperbiard Weddings, has had a passion for filmmaking and has actively worked in the film industry for more than a decade. He has been the cinematographer on three full-length feature films: White Rabbit (2018) and How It Ends (2021), which both premiered at the Sundance Film Festival, and one other that’s in post-production that we can’t quite talk about yet.
